Bluebirds Ballet School was founded in 2010 and operates across multiple venues in London, including Knightsbridge, Maida Vale, Kensal Rise, Queens Park, North Kensington, Hampstead, and Swiss Cottage. The school teaches students from age 2 through to adults aged 80 and above. All teachers hold Royal Academy of Dance qualifications, and the faculty includes Emma McMahon as Creative Director and Principal Teacher.
The school offers ballet and dance classes following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus from Pre-Primary through Grade 8, plus advanced vocational grades. Students aged five and above may take annual RAD examinations or presentations. Additional programs include the Royal Ballet School Associate of the Royal Academy Programme (ATAP) for ages 5 and up, taught by an RBS-affiliated teacher. Classes also cover contemporary dance, Progressing Ballet Technique, and pointe work.
Programs for younger students begin at age 2 with preschool ballet focusing on movement and coordination. Adult ballet classes are available for ages 18 and above, and Silver Swans classes serve dancers aged 55 and older. The school also offers dance and performance workshops. Students wear RAD-recommended uniforms, and each class begins with a functional-fitness warm-up.
