The Youth Company is an ensemble of 12 dancers aged between 17 and 20 who, based on their artistic potential and dance level, are granted a training contract for a maximum of two seasons. In close collaboration with the Vienna State Ballet, the young dancers gain extensive stage experience and regularly appear in Vienna State Ballet productions . In addition, they receive further training, individual coaching in classical ballet and pas de deux, and perform with the Youth Company in its own shows.
Applications from EU and non-EU countries are accepted. Dancers must be at least 17 years old at the start of their contract and no older than 20 at the end of the contract (June 30, 2027). Dancers must have completed professional dance training with a focus on classical ballet. As members of the youth company, students receive a training allowance of €1,020.00 gross per month.
Contract duration: September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.

The first step is to submit your application on the DanceApply platform. Selected applicants will be invited to an in-person audition on February 18, 2026, the costs of which they must cover themselves. The deadline for submitting video audition materials is January 29, 2026.
