Madách Művészeti Iskola is an EuroPAS-awarded dance school in Budapest founded by Sárközi Gyula, a former ballet master of the Hungarian State Opera and artistic director of the Madách Theatre dance company. The school was established in 2001 and serves more than four hundred students from preschool age through 22 years old. It operates two locations: the main facility in Zugló and a studio in Buda.
The school offers training in classical ballet, folk dance, modern dance, musical theatre, and American tap. Programs include preparatory gymnastics for children ages 3–6, and certificate-granting training for ages 6–22. The curriculum includes a nine-year classical ballet program and theatre dance training starting from ninth grade. The school introduced musical dance teaching in Hungary and operates as a practice school connected with the Hungarian Dance Academy.
Students receive instruction from recognized choreographers, soloists, and dance teachers in small groups. Training includes individual development, stage practice, and regular half-yearly exam performances. Students perform in the school’s own productions staged in professional theatres and regularly appear in Madách Theatre productions and Hungarian Festival Ballet performances. The school also offers summer day camps.
