The Baltic Opera is an opera and ballet company located in Gdansk, Poland. Founded in 1950 as a music and drama studio, it later became a state opera and philharmonic. In 1993, the company separated from the philharmonic to focus entirely on operatic and dance performances. It operates as a state-funded cultural institution in the Pomeranian region.
