The Nice Côte d’Azur Opera is a performing arts organisation based in Nice, France. The institution manages three main artistic groups: the Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, the Ballet Nice Méditerranée, and the Nice Opera Chorus. Together, these groups create and perform a regular season of operas, ballets, and symphonic concerts. The organisation focuses on presenting classical repertoire alongside modern works and newly created pieces.
As a public institution, the company stages its main productions at the local opera house and performs at other venues across the region. The organisation manages an educational programme designed for different age groups. This includes youth performances, school outreach activities, and open rehearsals that allow students to learn about the performing arts.
The ballet company and the orchestra also go on tours to perform in other cities and countries. Throughout the year, the institution organises chamber music concerts, musical theatre pieces, and family events.
