The Israel Ballet School is an institution for classical ballet studies in Israel, accepting students ages 4–18 from across the country. The school operates from its main location in Tel Aviv and runs an additional branch in cooperation with Telma Yellin High School, offering afternoon study tracks on the Telma Yellin campus.
The school provides instruction in classical ballet, pointe, modern dance, PBT, character dance, classical repertoire, and neo-classical repertoire. Each student receives an individual study plan based on their age, level, and abilities. Students participate in open classes, end-of-year performances, and lectures covering dance history and nutrition. The school offers intensive courses during Passover and summer vacations with teachers from Israel and abroad.
The school operates preparatory tracks, from which suitable students may be invited to join the Israeli Ballet company’s trainee program. Additional programs include preparation for the IDF’s Outstanding Dancer excellence program and a pas de deux track. Selected students participate in company performances, workshops, and rehearsal observation days. Summer courses are organized by age groups (9–12, 13–15, and 15+) and include placement testing at the start of each week.
