La Junior Company is a pre-professional training program for young classical dancers, operating under the artistic direction of François Mauduit and the Carole Massoutié dance school. The program prepares dancers for professional careers through daily classes and rehearsals alongside the Compagnie Chorégraphique François Mauduit, which was established in 1999 and became fully professional in 2006. François Mauduit, a former student of the École du Ballet de l’Opéra de Paris, received the Prix Positano “Léonide Massine” in 2010. The company is co-directed by Géraldine Lucas and Nicola Lazzaro.
The Junior Company curriculum includes classical repertoire, pointe technique, male technique, pas de deux, and contemporary dance. Guest teachers from major institutions, including étoiles from the Opéra de Paris and soloists from companies such as Béjart Ballet Lausanne, lead workshops and transmit repertoire. The program provides stage experience and prepares participants for auditions and international competitions. The Compagnie Chorégraphique François Mauduit maintains a repertoire of over 100 ballets and has performed more than 1,000 times since 2006, reaching over 250,000 spectators. Productions include classical works and original creations by Mauduit that tour throughout France and Europe.
